Prison Fellowship Rwanda (PFR) is a non-profit organization collaborating with the government, local and international organizations, and UN agencies to support psychosocial healing, peacebuilding, restorative justice, crime prevention, legal aid, and socioeconomic empowerment in post-genocide Rwanda.
Since 2002, our activities have expanded beyond prisons into communities, focusing on reconciliation, ex-prisoner reintegration, and justice between offenders and victims. PFR was established on July 1, 1995 and became affiliated with Prison Fellowship International in 1997.
Officially registered by the Ministry of Justice via ministerial order no 037/17 on 23/10/2002 and published in Rwanda’s official gazette.
We envision a society where unity, peace, justice, and inclusive development reign.
To transform the lives of the disadvantaged through peacebuilding, livelihoods, justice, and spiritual resilience.
