An international conference on Reconciliation in Action was held at the Lincoln Bishop University , UK, and organized by the Center for Reconciliation from  17th July.

The  conference explored how communities of religion and belief can help build a more peaceful and compassionate society .Leaders, academicians, peacebuilders and community practitioners from across the UK and around the world, gathered and discussed on the conference theme”  Reconciliation in Action, bridging the divides”.

Prison Fellowship Rwanda was represented at the conference by Felix Bigabo, who delivered a presentation titled "Reconciliation and Healing in Post-Genocide Rwanda: Lessons Learned from Practice." His presentation provided background on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, highlighted  the healing and reconciliation process, explained the role of Prison Fellowship Rwanda, and shared key lessons learned from implementing the Action-Based Reconciliation Model (ABRM).

In general, participants at the conference expressed a strong commitment to continuing the networks and partnerships established during this much-needed gathering, while working to bridge existing divides. At a time when societies around the world are facing increasing division and conflict, participants emphasized the importance of fostering dialogue, strengthening unity across diverse communities, promoting our shared interdependence, and cultivating a more compassionate and inclusive society.
