Since 2020, Prison Fellowship Rwanda (PFR), in partnership with UNHCR and MINEMA, has implemented a protection project for refugees and asylum seekers in Rwanda. The project strengthens community-based protection, access to justice, legal assistance, civil documentation, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. Since August 2024, it has expanded to include Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), community-based sociotherapy, and enhanced support for persons with specific needs. The initiative promotes protection, inclusion, resilience, and the well-being of refugees and asylum seekers across refugee camps, urban areas, and transit centers
