PFR Celebrates Graduation of 42 Sociotherapy Participants at Kigeme Refugee Camp

Kigeme Refugee Camp, Rwanda – PFR today celebrated the graduation of 42 Persons of Concern (PoCs) who successfully completed the Sociotherapy Program at Kigeme Refugee Camp.

The graduation ceremony marked the culmination of a transformative journey during which participants engaged in structured sociotherapy group sessions designed to promote emotional healing, social cohesion, trust-building, and resilience.

Over the course of the program, participants were provided with a safe and supportive environment to share experiences, address personal and communal challenges, and strengthen positive relationships within their community. The program has contributed to improved psychosocial well-being and enhanced community connectedness among participants.

Speaking during the ceremony, facilitators commended the graduates for their dedication, openness, and commitment to personal growth throughout the process.

The graduation of these 42 participants highlights the importance of community-based mental health and psychosocial support interventions in fostering healing, empowerment, and social inclusion among refugee populations.

PFR extends its heartfelt congratulations to all graduates and remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen resilience, well-being, and hope within communities.
