Rubavu, Rwanda – Yesterday, Prison Fellowship Rwanda (PFR), together with the Living Oaks Limited Singapore Mission, conducted a visit to Rubavu Correctional Facility aimed at encouraging inmates and supporting ongoing rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.
The visit was guided by the theme "God Is a God of Second Chances," reflecting a shared commitment to restoring hope and promoting positive transformation among individuals in correctional facilities.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with correctional facility staff on rehabilitation and reintegration programs, exploring ways to strengthen support systems that help inmates prepare for life after incarceration.
A special ministry session was also conducted for inmates, featuring the Word of God, praise and worship, prayer, and personal testimonies designed to inspire hope, encourage personal growth, and strengthen faith.
The delegation further toured the facility's Vocational Training School and Production Department, where they observed ongoing skills development initiatives that equip inmates with practical competencies for future reintegration into their communities.
PFR extends its sincere gratitude to the Director of the Correctional Facility (DCF) and the entire team for their warm hospitality, guidance, care, and support throughout the visit.
Members of the visiting mission expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with inmates and learn about the impactful rehabilitation programs taking place within the facility. The DCF and team also recognized PFR's continued collaboration and moral support through various approaches that promote rehabilitation, restoration, and successful reintegration.
The visit reinforced the importance of partnership, faith-based encouragement, and rehabilitation programs in creating opportunities for transformation and second chances.
